Art Private Blockchain
The Esrac Art Private Blockchain is a public electronic register that is maintained and managed by the artist (@ESRAC) to guarantee the integrity of all Certificates of Authenticity (CoA) of all artworks by @ESRAC, through Cryptographic Custody. Esrac Art Private Blockchain uses the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256) to create a Digital Fingerprint for each CoA that is a chain of digital signatures starting from the Artist (@ESRAC). Even if the CoA is lost by its owner, our Private Blockchain is able to confirm the ownership of all @ESRAC artworks. Any buyer interested in acquiring an artwork by @ESRAC in the secondary market can verify the chain of ownership via our Cryptographic Custody Tool (Verify a CoA). The public can see in our platform that someone has acquired an artwork by @ESRAC in the chain of ownership but without linking the transaction to anyone (i.e. without telling who the parties were). This proposed system to record the chain of historical ownership of all artworks by @ESRAC do not rely on trust. It is robust in its simplicity and will guarantee actual ownership of all artworks for decades.
